Throughout his life, Mr. Jos\u00e9 Quevedo, third generation of rum masters at Destiler\u00edas Aldea, carefully chose -during each harvest- 15 exceptional barrels, each one special due to its origin and previous life. 15 barrels to chisel, little by little, extraordinary liquids nourished by oak, wine, brandy and saltpeter.<\/p>\n
More than 20 years ago, Mr. Jos\u00e9 glimpsed the uniqueness of signature rums, made only with rum from fresh sugar cane juice, and matured in a single barrel throughout its life, but also infused by the soft Alisios winds and the brave Atlantic that hits at the bottom of the cliff where our distillery relies.<\/p>\n

We proudly present the first SINGLE CASK from our distillery: DON JOS\u00c9. A limited edition paying tribute to our father’s mastery, bottled with care in 257 unique bottles. An exceptional liquid that has rested for 20 years in a vivid oak barrel formerly used to age red wines, resulting an unusual rum.<\/p>\n
